From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty, light sweet note. Bitter, slight phenolic and roasted malt flavoured. Slight phenolic sharp finish, lasting roasted malt impression too.

Draft at KS Carlsbad. Nose of roasted nuts, caramel, and slight sweetness. Clear dark brown with a big, glass lacing, beige head. Flavor was caramel, very light bitterness, and a tiny hint of butteriness.

On tap @ Karl Strauss. Pours a deep murky brown with a 2 finger thick tan head. Strong apples, sweet malted barley, brown sugar in aroma, slightly metallic note as well. Notes of coffee, caramel, apples, plums, mild bitterness if at all in flavor. Finishes watery, long and sweet. Thin-Medium bodied, caramel stickiness.
