Pre-release sample at Beverages4less homebrew tasting event. Pours a dark amber color with a small beige head. The aroma is overtly funky with tart fruits, vanilla and oak. The flavor, like the nose, showcases sour red fruits aged superbly in oak with a bit of cocoa at the end for added complexity . The palate is creamy and silky smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering chocolates and cherries. Overall: Very tasty--a first rate sour.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with small frothy beige head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, oak, and funk. Medium mouth, light sour cherries, oak, very tart throughout, really good.

Acétique imprégné de sucres fruités, des bulles chocolatées percent également. La soupe est balancée, peu tannique et digeste.

Bottle... Pours Longhorn-orange with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. The nose features oodles of white oak. Light to medium bodied with airy, Champagne-like carbonation. Way over-carbonated in both the pour and the palate. The flavor is very tart - period. Finishes tart and bone-dry.
Of note: After stirring the excess carbonation out of the beer, the flavor kicked a whole lot more ass. Bonus points = .3
Thanks goes out to growler for sharing this one!

22 oz. bomber from Costco. It pours a dark red color with a super tall fizzy orange head. The aroma has some mandarin oranges, fruit cocktail, oak, black cherry, raisins and rich balsamic. Pretty nice. The flavor is similar with more sherry, balsamic, cherry, raisins, oak and a rather sharp acid character that isn’t all that unwelcome. A bit spicy and alcoholic in the finish, but it gets nicer and richer as it warms. I was really impressed with this one. I would have been slightly disappointed if I paid $16 for this, but at $5.50 a bottle it’s a steal. A pretty nice Flanders Red.

10 apr 2014, bottle. Pink/amber. Nose is sour, sweet, cherries? Thin body, dry, fizzy, almost sets teeth on edge. Sugary Flemish red. More sweet than sour. Has hints if oak and unusual hints of something like rotten fruit. Overall it's very good but there are some odd notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
