Commercial Description:
Reminiscent of mild Bavarian lagers - smooth, rich, complex, with a touch of spice from the hops.

On-tap at SD Airport location. Terrible food, beer was ok. Pours dark amber with a moderate white head, good lace. Smells caramelly malty, earthy, slightlymetallic. Tastes caramellymalty sweet, darkish grain flavors. Tasty but not super complex. Medium body, semi-dry, good carbonation.

From tap at the brewpub in Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully diminished white head. Mild caramel malty aroma. Light toasted caramel flavour with a mild bitterness coming through, a bit sweet. Mild spiced into a medium dry finish.

Draft at San Diego Airport. malty, cold and all right - not really hoppy, but smooth and non-offensive.

Sample at the Sorrento Valley location. This brew pours a clear pale copper color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Sweet malt and caramel in the nose, with a touch of hops. Medium-bodied and sweet with toasted malt and caramel flavors, plus a bit of floral hops. The finish is sweet with a lingering malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12oz bottle. Nice amber color "duh". Quickly dissipating white head. Not a whole lot of flavor, but very drinkable. ok
