COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshingly tart take on a classic German style. Our version undergoes a special lactic fermentation in the brew kettle that produces its trademark tartness. Enjoy a glass straight up or balance the acidity with a shot of raspberry syrup. Served with a raspberry puree, the way wheat beer is preferred in Berlin.

Draft. Clear pissy light yellow, white head. Mostly grain malt flavor, wheat, fairly dry, watery, very light tartness. Pretty weak sauce berliner weisse.

On tap at KS in La Jolla. Looks exactly like grapefruit juice even with the pulp. Slight grapefruit smell, seems like it can’t decide if it wants to be a sour, or something sweet (might be due to the raspberry artificial sweetener). Maybe the problem was that I was not given the choice to have the sweetener or keep it out since the server said it was part of the brew but honestly this was terrible. Avoid the sweetened version at all costs.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Tart and light citrus aroma. Sugary sweet flavor with tartness. Medium bodied. Sugary sweetness lingers with tartness.

Tap @ K&B. Pours a pale, cloudy straw yellow with a small white head. Slightly tart citrus nose with heavy wheat influence. Dry and crisp on the palate.

From the tap poured a straw color with a good amount of head. Malty flavor with a quick finish. Or with the raspberry syrup a slight raspberry flavor finish.
