“To kick off this series of intense hoppy beers, we wanted to go big. Imported New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops provide a vibrant tropical aroma that raises eyebrows and expectations. Aggressive amounts of Warrior and Ahtanum hops produce an assertive bitterness that stands out against a firm malt backbone. Balanced even at 90 IBUs, Big Barrel leaves a considerable first impression that serves as a prelude of things to come.” According to a brewery rep, the beer will be distributed throughout Southern California and they’re planning on doing 1,000 cases of 22’s. Bottle. Shaker. Clear golden with medium, white, semi-densed head. Medicore head retention and lacing. Moderate citrus aroma with some floral notes, pretty well balanced with moderalty malty profile - caramel, bread. Taste is medium bitter, semi-dry with lighlty malty sweetness. In overall nice hoppy profile, enough malts, my bottle was little bit too oxidized. Just solid IIPA, for geeks worth checking it out.

Dark gold pour with good sized white head. Nose of tropical fruit and pine. Flavor is rich with citrus and well balance of hops. The 9% is well hidden.

Bomber. Slightly hazy vibrant yellow-orange pour with a white head. Aroma is mild pineapple, but I’m getting just a hint of cardboard peeking through here as well. No date on the bottle, but I’d be surprised if this was very aged, as everything else I bought from this store on this day seemed quite fresh. Kind of a juicy taste, nice hop bite, fairly clean yet dry finish.

Aroma and flavor subdued pineapple and floral notes - didn’t see a date but didn’t seem terribly fresh. Still pretty bitter. Just ok with the potential to be better.

Bottle, thanks Eddan. Clear golden/orange with a white head. Hoppy aroma and taste of pineapple, mango and some caramel. Also grapefruit and light malt. The finish was bitter. A tasty one.

Pues algo hay que no me huele bien y de sabor esperaba más. Es la segunda de esta casa que pruebo sin resultado satisfactorio

Blonde orangée trouble, belle mousse beige assez tenace.

Bottle at Drie Dorstige Herten. Aroma of caramel and some rye. Fresh taste of white grape, caramel and bitter malt. Nice, but the bottle was too old.
