Snojerk321 (943), San Diego, California, USA May 26, 2008 On tap @ Blue Foot Bar in North Park. Pours a medium amber with a ruby hue. Great lacing left on the glass. Nice grapefruit aroma and a nicely balanced finish. A pretty good one from the usually boring K.S. doubleo (728), San Diego, California, USA May 18, 2008 On-tap at Churchill’s. People keep telling me how good this beer is... Ehhh. Pours cloudy orange with a thin off-white head, some lace. Smells hoppy sweet with a bit of big citrus, grapefruit or something. Tastes big and sweet. Pretty hoppy but with lots of malts as well. The hops are too sweet for me. Sweet up front with malts and hops, bitter through the middle, and then sweet again on the finish. Thick, syrupy body, good carbonation. brianprentiss (390), Mountain View, California, USA Apr 18, 2008 on tap at Karl Strauss, very fruity and citrusy, smells like pine. medium sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, average carbonation, SDbruboy (1819), San Diego, California, USA Apr 8, 2008 On draft at O’Briens. Clear amber color with a small, creamy off-white head. Unexpectedly mild aroma, grainy malts with lightly floral and citrus hop notes. Flavor is hop dominant, more grainy malts with pine, citrus peel and a bitter earthy character that is somewhat unpleasant, leading to an astringent finish. medium to full body and tingly carbonation. dwyerpg (2036), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Apr 3, 2008 This smells like flowers with some fruit too. Okay. This is not as good as the regular IPA to me because it has too much fruit characters.
