On tap from the brewpub. Tasted during trip to California. Dark reddish brown colour with a nice white head. Hoppy aroma of sour fruit. Tasty at first, but the flavour disappear quickly and ends up bitter with a roasted touch.

On tap @ downtown location: The bartender kept insisting we try this since my girlfriend said she loved dark beers which I replied how we both didn’t care for brown ales. Anyways, it was better then I had expected with the deeper toasted malts that both played out in the aroma and flavor but not worth buying a pint of. I really could have summarized this beer up with a simple shot glass sample. Good thing they don’t bottle this because I don’t see loyal brown ale drinkers giving up Newcastle or whatever else is their choice for this stuff.

Tap - Nice brown color, flavor starts with roasted malts and finishes with a pleasant bitterness. Not bad. Not bad at all. Cheers!

Tasted on draft @ the brewpub in downtown San Diego. Nice addition to the Down Town After Dark recipe adding the dry hopped addition. A good, well balanced brown ale with a West Coast kick.

(Draft) Pours a deep mahogany body with a moderate white head. Aroma of caramel and mild hops. Raosted malt flavor.
