3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a fine beer. An aroma of sweet roasty malt. Pours almost black with a velvet tan head. Flavor is more sweet roastiness. It is incredibly smooth on the palate. The last person to rate this is a moron because this is a fine beer. I did not find in watery. It was not overly heavy, but watery is Michelob Ultra idiot. Also it is low in CO2 because it is a nitrogenated beer stupid!

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Slightly lighter feel than other stouts but more flavorful than most. Sweet-bitter dark chocolate taste. Easy to drink and will not fill you up too much. Goes fine with anything but best with beef ribs or lamb.

Draft sampler at downtown SD. Poured dark brown with an average creamy light brown head that lasted with god lacing. Solid toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Solid roasted balanced flavor with a smooth average bittersweet finish of moderate duration.

Draft, Downtown. Pours a very dark , slightly opaque color. Bitter roasted malty aroma. A hint of sweet chocolate. Flavor is mostly bitter roasted maltiness. Seems to be a little watered down. A hint of coffee. Seemed very bitter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Old Columbia location. Pours reddish black with a thick off-white head. Big roasted coffee aroma. Serious stout bitterness at 23 IBUís. This beer has a very, very smoooooth palate. You could drink a bathtub full of this and not realize it. Yummy. Karl knows the basics.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Solid oatmeal stout. I liked Sam Smithís, but always thought it was a little watery. This beer tastes nearly the same, but has a lot more body. Smooth drinking, slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Had on tap at Sorrento Mesa beer garden.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Sorrento Mesa. Goes well with Sunday Brunch. Sometimes served Nitrogen infused. Sweet smelling aroma, average creamy tan head, nice dark brown, a little lighter than Guinness, the oatmeal is apparent in keeping it from being too bitter. Not too thick and has a smooth finish with a slightly bitter after taste.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2010 On tap@Sorrento Mesa pub: Deep dark brown with a thin creamy off white head. A hint of roasted coffee to the nose. Flavor starts light and sweet finishing with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Palate is thin and watery. The BBQ pork sandwich was superb!
