Poured a finger and half of head on a hazy, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is caramel candy and wet grain. On the bold side.
The taste is caramel sweetness with mild pine bitterness. Nicely balanced.
The texture is chewy with crisp edges and moderate carbonation.

20 Oct 2013, bottle light orange, clear, steady bubbles. nose is slightly sweet, maybe spicy malt with a bit of a tangy zest. med body and mildly fizzy. granola malt with some stale grass hops. certainly more enjoyable than many oktoberfests i’ve had. Still, it’s not my favorite style.

Draft at catamaran resort bar. Wheat and honey aroma. Mostly clear amber body with lots visible carbonation. Thin off white head. Wonderful bready mouthfeel and hint of hops. I was concerned with the low ratings but shouldn’t have been. Nice session qualities with enough hop in the finish for a little something distinctive.

Tap. Clear golden pour with a froth of white foam. Aroma is a light toasted malt smell with some sweetness and a generic, bland lager aspect. Taste is lightly toasted malt with sweet malt and perhaps some minimal hop bitterness. Doesn’t taste much like an Octoberfest or marzen - more like a generic lager with a bit of toasted malt.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with no head at all. Strong malty notes with a hint of hops. Dry taste with a strong sense of malt. Kind of lacking spice, and a little bland, but not terrible.

Picked up a fresh jug from the restaurant. Poured a honey amber color with a nice head. Mild aroma of hops, pine and caramel. Taste was very smooth with some cedar and earthy notes. Smooth finish.
