Light, sweet aroma of citrus with maybe some pine. Definate presence of sweet malt. Mouthfeel is pleasantly light with low carbonation. A little bitterness at the end. It’s a mild example of the type. Pleasant , but not exciting.

Tap @ Carlsbad brewpub. Slightly hazy golden orange pour with a slick of white foam. Aroma is light bitterness, citrus and pine with a heavy sweet malt presence. Taste is a nice balance of pine and bitterness but there’s a heavy sweet malt, caramel flavor in the background which muddies it up quickly. Not very clean.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kurtos (35) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 24, 2013
Bottle. Pours an Amber colour, looks a little like a lager.
Aroma is quite faint, can’t really smell anything, though what i can smell is a bit of apricot and pine.
Taste. I can mainly taste apricot, with also some grapefruit, followed by a nice toffee and sweet bread malt backing.
Overall. A good beer, easy drinking, although a little bland for my liking, i would enjoy this as a session beer and it is something i would rate very highly as an entry level apa.

On tap at the brewpub - Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Nose is a blast of citrus--grapefruit with a little pine and onion. Clean malt body, crackery with nice grapefruit and floral hops. Thin and clean body. Awesome--just what I’m looking for in an APA.

Old bottle, had to be, no way someone would sell this as a APA, flat lifeless beer malt bomb and paper.
