Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Very tasty, and a with a great nose. Aromas of apricot, caramel, citrus, nuts. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a small layer of film for a head while the liquid was a sparkling golden honey color. My nose detects a decent amount of hops with scent of citrus and the signature Karl Strauss malts. The flavor is sort of bland and boring with only a minimal presence of bitter hops but with a bigger taste of sweetness attributed to the caramel like malts. Also, the malt gives off a bready flavor that balances out well with the floral hops that have a notice of honey or flowers.

On draft at the SD airport. Poured a clear gold. Some hops on the nose, mostly piney, lightly roasted caramel malts. Tasted more of the same, not very hoppy.

Very strong aroma from bottle. Pours a dark orange with good head. Very much has citrus flavours associated with US pale ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow, massive piney hops. This beer is a flavour explosion. I really enjoyed this and am keen to give it another try. Not sure I could drink a heap of these at any one time, but would really enjoy a couple every now and then. Tasty beer

Pours dark amber with a large, lasting head. Very hoppy aroma, lots of pine, floral notes, citrus fruit and spicy hops. Some light clean malt underneath. Flavours follow along the same lines, with more floral and spicy notes along with a little fruit. Lovely clean malt underneath with just a hint of a cookie dough-like character. Carbonation is perhaps just a little high. Wonderfully refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle, shared with my wife over lunch at the San Diego Zoo. I love that craft beer has become so relevent that I can buy it at a zoo cafeteria. Burnt orange colour, decent off-white head. Piney and fruity hops are backed by lightly toasty caramel malts. Nice bitterness. It was 93 degrees today, and this really hit the spot.

330mL bottle. Pours clear golden with a small white head and a piney/citrus aroma with hints of sweet toffee. Mild bitterness which fits the beer very well and also piney notes in the flavour mixed with the toffee backing. Nice beer but by no means does it stand out from the crowd.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with small off white head and some lace. Aromas of pine, citrus, grain and light toffee. A bit thin, light-medium body, medium-high carbonation. A of bit dish soap with a lingering grain, light malt and hop bitterness on the finish.

KeefOz (939) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2012
Poured a translucent orangy amber colour with a thin bubble head that produced a few spots of lacing. Moderate carbonation. Citrus and hops plus some malt that gives a well balanced aroma. Taste has similar citrus to nose but less intense. Hops are pleasant and do not produce much bitterness. Thin body. Pleasant short bitter but smooth finish.
