3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampler on tap at the brew pub in down town San Diego. Caramelly aroma. Flavor of caramel malt yielded to grapefruity hop bitterness. Nice complexity to this unique pale ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear bronze-gold with lasting off-white head. Light on the nose. Citrus and tropical hops, but not bright and fresh. Somewhat dank and muted. Big flavor though. Good balance. Somewhere between PA and IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a golden clear yellow with a foamy white head. Medium carbonation, aromas of citrus and pine. Initial malt flavour balanced well with grapefruit bitterness. Finishing hops deliver a slight citrus peel flavour that is pleasant on the tongue. Very delicious

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a gorgeous light brown color, with a sparse but lasting bright white lacy head. Awesome hops aroma, with some sort of herb in there as well. Nice taste but it fades really quickly. Minimal palate.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very strong aroma from bottle. Pours a dark orange with good head. Very much has citrus flavours associated with US pale ales.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a large off-white head. Not super hoppy as an IPA would be, but it does have a nose of spruce. Good body, nice flavor, but nothing that really stands out.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours an Amber colour, looks a little like a lager.
Aroma is quite faint, can’t really smell anything, though what i can smell is a bit of apricot and pine.
Taste. I can mainly taste apricot, with also some grapefruit, followed by a nice toffee and sweet bread malt backing.
Overall. A good beer, easy drinking, although a little bland for my liking, i would enjoy this as a session beer and it is something i would rate very highly as an entry level apa.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Faultless APA. Pours deep amber with good clarity and medium, slightly off-white head. Great lacing. Upfront pine and caramel aromas, with interesting fruit notes coming through. Grapefruit is present, but also are some sweet tropical fruits. Body is medium-thin. While not particularly memorable, the taste is balanced and quite refreshing. An appropriate malt backing supports a medium bitterness that provides a biting finish, but not as exhaustive as an IPA.
