UPDATED: SEP 21, 2004 The only reason I drink this was Karl had a lock on all the beers at Street Scene. I know these guys dont give a crap about their beer and it shows. Too bad.

tap at brewpub in downtown San Diego-pours bright orange with a small white head. nose is piney with light diacytl, especially as it warmed a bit. some sweet grain notes detected in the nose (cereal and cracker). flavors of sweet hops, grainy malt and light sweetness. ok but nothing special. i had high hopes for this beer since it was going to be a cask offering a few days after i sampled it. some lite earthy and herbal notes on the finish-became very herbal over time. ok.

Shaker pint draft at the brew pub in Carlsbad, California. Pour is amber golden with a light tan smallish head. Aroma is citrus, fruit stripe gum, and light toasted malt. Taste is the sweet citrus hop, followed quickly by sharp maltiness, and finishing with a mineral earthiness. Palate is light to medium bodied, clean and dry mineral finish.

(Draft: World Curry in San Diego, CA) Not too bad for a Karl Strauss beer, but I have pretty low expectations of them, so itís all relative I suppose; Moderately bitter, hoppy, dominant light citrus flavor; Pretty light on the malt, with a mild sweetness; Smells lightly sweet and malty with some hops and citrus; Very carbonated mouthfeel, light-to-medium body; Light golden color; Off-white head settles to a sheen, with lots of delicate, but dense lacing

On tap @ Hamilton’s. Pretty much your standard pale. Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Light nose of citrus hops and some malt. Finish was crisp and refreshing.

(12oz bottle thanks to blutt59) Deep clear gold with white head. Aroma of pine, light fruit, light malt. Flavor doesnít match aroma, light malt body, grassy, light grain with a pine resin bitter. Mouth feel is light and watery. Overall, itís ok.

A hazy golden/yellow colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of fruits like citrus, a little orange and hop. The taste is flat sweet with a little bitter. The aftertaste is vague sweet and a little bitter.
