3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled and on tap on multiple occasions way back in the day. I used to consider this stuff baller amber ale in the good ol’ days when I was drinking Newcastles with jarspag on a weekend basis. Red-amber color with light white head and lacing and aromas are difficult to pick up. Mostly just some sugary malt notes and a crisp finish. Unsatisfying overall.

A forever classic beer by KS. A must try for anyone new to SD. Nothing about the beer is spectacular, simply balanced and unassuming. Great blend of nutty malt flavors and subtle hops. Perfect color, average white head. Overall a tasty and balanced brew that would accompany most any occasion.

served cold from tap. pours a nice amber, reddish color, with a good white head, and generous lacing. aroma is sweet, malty. flavor is pretty good, some hops but fairly mellow and easy to drink. it wasn’t a bad beer, but it was the best thing that they had on tap at the restaurant, so i gave it a shot.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap @ Carlsbad. Pours an amber color with a somewhat generous white head. Aroma is slight hop with grain and malt notes detectable as well. Taste is sweet malt with a crisp hop characteristic at the end. Pretty smooth, though overall uninspiring.

Not bad! Not bad at all. Had this on tap at the Macaroni Grill, and needless to say I was hopeful and skeptical at the same time. It turned out to be a very drinkable amber ale - subley hoppy, perfectly amber in color, and pleasantly sweet. There is a bit of an odd aftertaste as it warms, but it’s not very noticable. The one problem is that my two servings had next to zero head on them. Odd. But a very tasty beverage.

Draft at Islands. Amber pour. A mildly hoppy aroma, with caramel malt. Like a blend between an APA and an amber. Pretty bland malt.
