3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap at karl strauss in carlsbad. okay for an amber, shame this is one of their flagship beers because it’s nothing special. very fruity like their other beers, with hints of toffee and caramel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355mL bottle. Pours a clear deep mahogany with a nice fresh toffee apple aroma. The flavour is very very sweet toffee wow, very nice with a very light low alpha hop backing. Personally i prefer hoppy red ales but i really cant fault this beer its sweet and flavoursome.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A decent amber. Slightly thick and sweet on the palate. Lots of malt character that is well balanced by the hops. I drink a lot of this at the airport every time I’m in town.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 12oz bottle an orangy-amber with little carbonation and a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel and malt with a very slight graininess. Flavor is mostly caramel and malt with a hint of nuts and honey. Palate is syrupy with a mild sweetness and a little spice on the tongue despite the lack of carbonation. Overall, a nice sipping beer not great but good.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from the gas station. Aroma is of malt and faint honey. Mouthfeel is light, high carbonation, light bitterness, well balanced by the sweet honey and cinnamon flavors, before a solid bitter finish. Cinnamon notes are particularly pleasant in this beer. Not bad, for an amber.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Reddish amber. Nutty aromatics. Medium bodied, straightforward red ale. Nutty malts, but somewhat thin. Could use more hops to create some complexity. Medium finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber colored pour with little to no head. Malty, caramel aroma with a caramel toffee finish. This was ok.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not a terrible beer...def worth a try. Very smooth, rich, nice on the palate...caramel/toffee flavor. Deep mahagony appearance... nothing too special though. Is definately one of their best offerings. Would be nice with a burger or in the sun
