Not a very good beer at all. Your much better sticking with AleSmith and Stone beers. Malty, not very hoppy at all, did not enjoy the aftertaste.

Little in the way of aroma. A nice red color. Super malty flavor. Balanced and non descript.

12 oz bottle in San Diego. I have no idea why I bought this. I loathe sweet, caramelly beers, and thatís exactly what this is. Although the beer has the expected head retention, dark amber (red) color, and is crystal clear, I simply donít like it. Waaaay too much crystal malt for my tastes, not nearly offset enough by bittering hops. This beer is all about the malt base and nearly zero hops to offset the sweetness in flavor or aroma. Even for an "Irish Red" style, itís too sweet to the point of being cloying. Sorry Karl but even Killians is better.

Pours reddish copper. Aroma is surprisingly bitter forward with the malt being the secondary and last thing you smell. Taste is a complete 180 -- all malt sweetness and very muted overall flavor. Decent session beer.

Very drinkable. Great ruby/ deep burnt orange color. Very minimal head, but decent carbonation nonetheless. Slightly sweet upon first tasting. Something I could probably make a decent session out of.

On tap at the Chili’s in Torrance, CA. Aroma has a hint of malt, not much hops in there. Amber red with a small tan beige head. Smooth malt flavor with a slight hint of chocolate in there. Caramely and a little sweet. Easy drinking and dry in the finish. Well made and no real flaws. Could be a little more assertive.

I thought this was the best beer out of their sampler (though the stout is good, itís not as much my style). The head had some lace, but not much. The beer smells and tastes sweet, and it sticky and warming. Hoppy notes donít start to show until the beer warms up.

Pretty color, fair head. Fairly sweet for an ale. Not bad, not great. Enjoyable, but nothing super special

Amber color with almost no head. Caramel aroma with a hint of hops. Taste is totally caramel. Tastes similar to the Alaskan Amber. Good, but to sweet for a beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
