Decent red to amber real clear pour. Malty some hops fair flavor. Good beer if there is no other type of micro around. Essay to find good cold.

Not much happening in this one. Good copper color, no head and not much finish. Cannot recommend. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

light amber colour. small head, strong bitter aftertaste, I liked the aftertaste better than the beer itself which left something to be desired. That said it was nice to have a mirobrew at the San Diego Airport, kinda cool!

karl strauss brewing co. makes some really goood beers, especially at the brewery... red trolley ale pours a dark amber/kinda red body with a small foamy head. hint of caramel in it’s taste and a good finish.

No head as it pours from the bottle, indicated low carbonation. Lacks any bouquet but the Amber hue was different and its caramelized hop flavour flowed through nicely. Much like drinking pop corn. I’d like to try this again, pulled off a tap though.

Appearance: Poured from the bottle a nice, rich red with a little amber-ness and clear. Impressive foamy head. This is what I like a beer to look like. Smell: I got a slight sweetness in the nose. Taste: Sweet and malty. Perhaps my favorite thing about this beer is the caramel notes I get later in the taste. There’s a lot going on here. Mouthfeel: Full bodied, this is a rich beer. Drinkability: As the temperature cools down, I find it’s an even better time to enjoy a warming Red Trolley. It just works really well enjoying one or two while watching the Chargers. I tend to drink this beer slower than a lot of other beers, making the most of the malts. This is a beer I’ve enjoyed over the years, and I think it gets a little bit better each time I have it. Or maybe I appreciate it a little more each time?

Christmas pudding smell. Nearly no carbonation, clear browny red. Big malt but little else for flavour. Basement finish. Good for a winter afternoon before something heavier.

Poured a deep rich amber with a medium sized bubbles and head. Aroma was pleasant. Taste was good, its in line with the Reds. Finish; Reds are a little light for my liking, but would drink it again if it was gifted to me as this was...thanks Nick @ Willows Market, Menlo Park, CA

Bottle from Dan Murphy Wagga. Poured nice red colour but the head was thin and didn’t last too long. Nice caramel and dried fruit taste but not as strong and lasting as I would have expected after being told about this one. Easy to drink and could cause dramas with the 5.8% alcohol as it could sneak up on you if you had a few.
