3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Buttery diacetyl smell. Clear copper, thin yellow head. Like the Karl Strauss Pin tail I sampled immediately before this one, the flavor of tea dominates. Perhaps my glass didn’t get a good rinse. Clover and honey remains on the palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla: Bronze color, nose of caramel and light fruity hops and strawberry. The flavor is lightly sweet and crisp with hops. Finishes creamy and light, meh.

Not very good at all, I would not buy this. Sweet caramel malt, small amount of hops. Fairly easy to drink, it just doesn’t taste good though. I would not get this unless it was free.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and a touch sweet. A medium bodied amber. Malts are nutty and a touch sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. There is a slightly harsh feel to the taste in this beer. Kind of a typical amber. Drinkable, but typical. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is harsh. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pint – Disneyland California Adventure – Anaheim, CA
This was cold and wet and what I needed. It had been a few dry days. The beer was malty with a decent amount of hops but the beer was buttery and sort of flat. I was not happy with paying 7 bucks for a pint.

22 ounce bottle from JohnCoctosin, poured a red copper color, can’t really describe the beer better than its description. For once a description is on par to the actual beer, good in summer heat.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Taps translucent mahogany with a fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma features notes of toasted malt and caramel. Flavor offers strong caramel, cinnamon, clove, and average malty character. Mouthfeel delivers typical body and good fizz. Take this trolley!

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Brought by Tipsy to the tasting. Looks like a red ale. Almost no head. Almost no aroma. Some vanilla in the flavour. Lots of toast. Actuallly a touch better than expected.
