5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
When I walked into the Liquor store, I was in the mood for something to celebrate Obamaís victory to. I spotted Red Trolley Ale, and I bought it . I figured I had nothing to lose. When I opened it, my palate went crazy!!! I loved the instant taste of toffee, which is another reasons why I bought it. Yes, itís sweet, but not sweet enough to dislike. Itís like the perfect date, I thought! Anyway, It says itís 5.8% alcohol, but I could swear it was more than that because i was feeling tipsy after one and a half! It was totally worth my cash,I mean my dateís cash, haha!!

Caramel, roasty, woody, nuty. Great beer for everybody. Never met anyone that did not like this Amber colored irish ale of awesomeness. If ur just New and have tried pales, blondes and are ready for reds, ambers....... This is the stuff right here. Especially if u find yourself in ocean beach at hoedads. The best burger and I think best irish ale put together is a speechles tear to the eye. YYYEEESSS!

A malty liquid that when languishing on the tongue reminds me of days gone by enjoying a butterscotch sundae with my parents

bread, spruce, floral, dough, leaves, banana, vanilla. I was a Fat Tire guy from Colorado before I moved to San Diego. This beer is all that Fat Tire wants to be with none of the hangover. Fat tire is a great beer but the hangovers are crushing. Not with Red Trolley

I just tried this beer yesterday for the first time and I absolutely LOVED it! Besides the fact that it is locally brewed, I really enjoyed the caramel taste plus the full-bodied stout taste.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Appearance: Poured from the bottle a nice, rich red with a little amber-ness and clear. Impressive foamy head. This is what I like a beer to look like.
Smell: I got a slight sweetness in the nose.
Taste: Sweet and malty. Perhaps my favorite thing about this beer is the caramel notes I get later in the taste. Thereís a lot going on here.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, this is a rich beer.
Drinkability: As the temperature cools down, I find itís an even better time to enjoy a warming Red Trolley. It just works really well enjoying one or two while watching the Chargers. I tend to drink this beer slower than a lot of other beers, making the most of the malts. This is a beer Iíve enjoyed over the years, and I think it gets a little bit better each time I have it. Or maybe I appreciate it a little more each time?

I drank a lot of this while in San Diego. Very good beer. One of my favorites. Wish I could find it out east.
