Very good! Number three on my scale. Everyone knows what a good IPA is like. Stargazer is a great beer to drink between flights at the airport.

Bottle from Stuffed Sandwich in San Gabriel, CA. Pours amber with a white head. Faint caramel aroma. Lighter side of medium bodied with a somewhat industrial texture. Flavor has a British influenced caramel maltiness countered by dank hops. Meh.

(11/2/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in downtown San Diego. Clear amber color with a stable white head. Aroma of flowery hops and some citrus. Pleasant bitter hoppy flavor with some citrus, some fruity notes and bready, slightly toasty, malt for balance. Medium-bodied. A nice balanced one.

Alphadelic (1630) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 13, 2009
Deep amber with a thin, lacy, off-white head. Sweet hoppy aromas with biscuit and caramel. Intensely oily hops bring a bitterness that gives way to sweet nasal toffee only to return with a drying kick and a tingle. Oily in the mouth followed by a zingy prickle. Pretty tasty if a little OTT.

Tap in Disneys California Adv. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of floral, orange, bready and light caramel. Flavor of toasted malt, pine, grapefruit and caramel. Moderate hop bitterness.

Tap at La Jolla location. Pale amber beer with a soft white head. Aroma is fairly citrusy and grapefruity. Light pale malt and a bit of diacetyl (unfortunately). Moderate hopping and a decent balance of flavours. It’s okay, but not all that great.

Orange body, creamy white head, malt strong nose, floral hop citrus in the background aroma, Thin hop presence, floral hop flavor, not balanced because the flavor is mostly malt forward, needs more flavor edition hop bang IMO

Clear amber with a frothy head. Mild bready malt, spicy hop aromas. medium body. Taste is mostly pale malts and bready yeast. Hops are in the back seat here.

This orange beer poured with a fluffy beige head, emitting a pleasant malt aroma. The flavor is rather watery, but there is enough roasted malt flavor to make this beer drinkable and some pretty nice hopping.

Bottle from bhensonb. Thanks Bill for this one. Rich orange to amber color with a nice foamy dingy colored head and lacing. In spite of my use of the word dingy this was quite attractive. Nose of citrus hops and caramel malts. Good clean mouthfeel that felt smooth on the tongue. The finish is dry and nicely bitter as a good IPA should be. Overall a very nice beer and another good example of showing you don’t need big alcohol content to make good brew.
