COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with a white head. Flowery hoppy aroma with light sweet malty notes. The flavor is well balanced, with pale and sweet malts, and floral hops. Medium bitter finish. Pretty good.

On tap at KS in La Jolla. Light copper with light cream head. Citrus, hops, caramel. Good carbonation, medium bodied, start with a mild sweetness, moves to bitter, soapy, becomes more bitter at the end with a nice dryness. Nice IPA.

Pours amber with nice floral notes. The hops dominate on the mouthfeel with a nice deep sense of the bitterness and a long finish.

Mehh...it’s the best thing the San Diego airport Chili’s has. Which is sad. It’s a decent IPA...everything you’d expect but nothing to seek out.

Nice crisp copper coloured body with a thick tan head. Aroma of strong hops, a lot of malt, some alcohol and a bit more hops - very nicely balanced and relatively strong for the style. Medium-bodied; Deep pungent hop flavours show through at first with a deep cascade taste and a nice pungent full-bodied and full of malt finish. Aftertaste is complex with the alcohol, pine, hops, flowers and some malt very noticeable. Overall, a pretty nice IPA with a lot of good flavours and very strong in the hops - shows well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Ralph’s in Los Angeles, California for US$3.99 sampled just outside the supermarket on the walk to LAX on 03-July-2011.

Tap at Cricket Outdoor Arena in San Diego/Chula Vista, CA. YES!!!!! There is good beer at a concert and that concert happened to be my favorate band , Rush!!!! So, EVen though i think this beer is just a pretty average IPA, it will always hold a memory with me. It is a great companion to watching my favorate band on stage. pours deep orange with a small soapy white head. nose of musty, resinous, earthy hops. pine and resin flavors pretty straight forward IPA here with a firm malt base (amber and carmel). similar to say Torpedo just not as good. However, this beer goes VERY well for drinking at a concert.

Tap at Eureka burger. Rating #107. Orange/amber pour with a thin clingy white head. Light sweet fruity aroma, with a hint of citrus. Moderate bitterness with a nice little toastiness, solid IPA. (1770)

12 oz bottle at dining with Shamu at Seaworld in San Diego, California. The rest of Seaworld was awash with Bud products, so I was happy to see anything different on offer at the dinner. Pour is copper orange cloudy with a one inch off with head. Aroma is fresh resin tangerine citrus, along with lightly toasted malt. Quite fresh and bright nose. The taste is a really bright clean fresh resin orange tangerine citrus, balanced nicely with the toasted malt. Balanced towards hops for sure, but still nice balance. Palate is medium bodied, fine active carbonation and a flinty dry finish. Nice San Diego style IPA.

Tap, LAX. Murky coppery orange brown with a generous foamy white head with some sticky lacing. Subtle grapefruit and light sweetness and spice in the aroma. Nice, fresh hoppiness in the flavor but not really all that powerful or pungent, with some grapefruit and barely-there pine...strongly backed with caramel notes. Medium and oily body. Not bad.
