COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

One of the best IPA on the market. Can’t get enough of it. The aroma is unique and catchy. The overall drinkablity is great.

Bright citrus aroma right after the top is popped. Fades to a floral aroma after that. Pours a dark orange. Bitterness is fairly mild but does linger. A good session ups

Love this beer! The aroma is the first thing i notice about all beers and this one satisfies the nose and entices you to take gulp after gulp. Major appreciation to Karl Strauss for their extensive hops usage per recipe. Always creating a unique taste.

This is possibly Karl Strauss’ BEST publicly-available offering. It’s a well-balanced San Diego-style IPA with perfect hoppiness combined with a mild alcohol feel and light refreshing malt tones which linger just long enough to make you thirsty for another sip. There are overlying subtleties of nuts, toast, roasty, resin, grass and herbs, This is a well-done IPA from a great German-style brewer.

nuts, toast, roasty, citrus, herbs, woody, smoke, vanilla. An awesome IPA. Most IPAs that I drink have an large alcohol taste. Not Tower 10, smooth with a great after taste.

My favorite beer from Karl Strauss. Great amber color. Crisp IPA with a fast rising hoppy flavor. Finishes with a pure hoppy aroma and taste. Body is lighter than some IPA’s which makes it an easy to drink but high quality IPA. Has become one of my favorite beers to keep in the fridge.

Sap colored, good head & lacing. Fruity scent and slight musty/fruity taste. Great packaging and good looking as a gift beer to bring to a party.

Yummy and full flavored, yet light enough to refresh. This reminds me off many days at a beach bar, relaxing with a great beer after a nice day in the sun. The citrus and pine are light and refreshing, it just screams San Diego!

A: The pour is a pretty lookin’ copper color with a fluffy white head and sticky sheets of lacing. S: Quite a bready nose for a San Diego brewed IPA. The hop character is piney and floral without much of the citrus that we’re all so fond of. T: Like the nose would indicate, this does not seem to be an overly hoppy IPA. The piney bitterness is the primary contribution, but like the nose, bready malts really dominate here. M: The body is medium with a somewhat mild level of carbonation for an IPA, maybe even a bit "flat". D: Certainly not one of the better San Diego IPAs, but for an average brewpub, it’s not too shabby.
