COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy gold. Small head. Thick lacing. Citrus aroma. Some pine in the taste. Not too bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle, picked up at dan murphy’s somewhere between gosford and terrigal. amber with a steady head; plenty of grapefruit in the aroma; decent bitterness, perhaps a bit heavy on the caramel but pretty drinkable nonetheless

On tap poured into a 4 oz sampler glass. Pine and grapefruit aromas stand out on this one with a subtle lime and even fainter caramel note. The clear, gold body is topped by a soapy white head that leaves an abundant web-like lacing. Moderate bitterness is supported by a light sweet and a touch of sourness. It’s a medium-full bodied beer with average carbonation. It starts with a sweet lemon citrus note and finishes with a clean and dry pine, citrus, and roasted malt character. There seems to be a trace of tobacco in there too, but I couldn’t pinpoint it. The aftertaste is a mellow grapefruit astringency.

Light amber pour with thin, fizzy head. Citrus, floral hop aroma with light malt as well. Taste is malty, citrus, nice bitterness which fades fairly quickly. Not bad

Good hoppy aroma, floral and piney. Pours murky copper with a thin white head. Good flavor, well balanced with a long caramel finish.

Pours a golden color and has a foamy head. Has a strong, but not over powering, aroma of hops, citrus and spice. Taste is much of the same as the aroma. I have always been more of a dark beer drinker and did not really like IPA’s until recently. This beer has a good taste that is not over powering, but enjoyable.

Bloody great American IPA. Great complex aroma, firm hoppy bitterness and surprisingly sessional. Goes well with spicy asian food.

Pours a dark amber, cloudy, with a sweet malty and hoppy aroma. Head is minimal but laces on the edge. Malty flavor with mild hop overtones in the mouth. A bit thin. Aftertaste is ok. I was expecting a bigger beer here.

Bottle - pours hazy gold with a big white head. Lots of flowery, citrus hops, decent amount of stone fruit, almost a vanilla cream to it. Taste is overpowered by a sharp bitterness up front, dominates anything else that is in there. Mouthfeel is creamy.

Brown in colour. Thick foamy head that pours way to large. When poured into a glass the head is almost as high as the liquid. Even out of the bottle the head spills over the neck. Strong floral hop flavour and aroma. Slight bitter aftertaste. Lots of citrus and pine
