COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

Clear golden with a medium off white head. Hoppy nose with grapefruit, pine and pale malt. Flavour had grapefruits, plenty of hops, pine and pale malts and it came out bone dry and bitter. Solid IPA.

12 oz bottle. 13:23 2035. From demolenbeershop.com.
Cloudy golden color with a midsize foamy white head. Caramel, toffee, piney and resiny hops and some bitterness in the aroma. The flavor is piney and resiny hops, strong bitterness, mild sweetness and some tropical fruity notes. I’d love to taste this fresh.

Tap at a random bar in SD. Pours a clear amber with not much of a head- thinning yellow/beige. No lace. Aroma is fruity, strawberry, caramel. Taste is bitter, a bit boozy somehow, iced tea, pine. Meh.

"a biscuit malt forward ipa that is not quite what i was goin for. thought it was the citrus hopped Stargazer IPA and bought a sixer by mistake. well made for what it is i suppose, but the hops need to have a bigger role. Pretty weak even brewery fresh."

Amber pour with a thick, sticky white head. The nose is fairly tropical with a distinct mix of caramelly malt and some light orange peel as well. Pretty fresh and hoppy with a distinct kiss of iced tea. There is a little bit of sweetness and some light hoppy bitterness. Nice dry-hopped character on the back… by the numbers but still pretty good.

Pours orange with white head, aroma is light citrusy hops. Taste up front is citrus and piny hops with some biscuity sweetness and a nice bitter finish.

On tao in the Karl Strauss taproom in LAX terminal 2. Bright orange amber, piney resinous aroma and flavour, grapefruit. Lightly toasty malt, dry, very bitter finish. Really nice.

Draught at LAX. Medium copper. Decent citrus nose, grass, light caramel. Flavor is somewhat sweet, with decent hops and a bit too much caramel. Noce grassy hop finish. Decent, not inspiring.

355 ml bottle. BBE 06.01.2016.
Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Piney, grassy aroma, mandarin and orange peel too, floral hops and faint resin. Grapefruity, citric flavor, subtle caramel sweetness, some hops, pale malts and distant toffee notes. Juicy fruitiness on the aftertaste. Very easy to drink, a decent juicy IPA.

This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor that is a bit harsh, and some pine and citrus caused by the hopping. This is a drinkable beer, but not especially satisfying.
