COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a deep cherry amber with no head whatsoever. Aroma is sticky sweet fruitiness which continues throughout this indulgent caramel hop flavor. This IPA seems conflicted to me, like it can’t make up ti’s mind between being a sweet and hoppy IPA or a full fledged dessert beer. It’s a jack of all trades, but a master of none. R.I.P. Pours copper with a white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops. Nice balance, but not an overpowering IPA. Decent flavor, nice body.

355ml bottle. Dark orange in colour with a nice white head. Great hop aroma. A good and strong hop bitterness on the finish.

Very solid IPA, pretty happy with this find. Taste is strong but fairly balanced with lingering bitterness, fruity. Would like to have more in the future.

Some liquor store in San Diego: Pours a darkish orange with a white head. Aroma is rather nice and is better than the taste. Taste is earthy and piny, with less citrus than I would have expected. I also found that the sugar seemed to be a little bit unbalanced, as this beer was a bit too sweet. Hops are not sufficiently bitter and hardcore.

Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is of sweet malt mixed with a little bit of citrus hops. More malt in the nose. The flavor is the same; mostly sweet malt with a tinge of hop bitterness on the finish. It’s possible this is not a fresh bottle, as there is no bottled on date. I like IPAs to have a little more hop character, but there is noting wrong with this beer. Very drinkable.

Not terribly complex but there's some good flavors in there. Bitter, hoppy... a little too much rind IMO ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at LAX not the greatest I have had, but good enough certainly not something I would seek out at home at the bevmart but the best beer in the airport for sure. Again, not a stand out but a def not a dud. Decent for sure.

Bottle - pours hazy gold with a big white head. Lots of flowery, citrus hops, decent amount of stone fruit, almost a vanilla cream to it. Taste is overpowered by a sharp bitterness up front, dominates anything else that is in there. Mouthfeel is creamy.
