3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Another strong, potent, over the top DIPA: itís getting boring. It just may be time to explore other beer styles. Food Pairing: Strong cheese.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Casa De Oro. Strongly hopped grapefruit nose, with a toch of pine. Good hop presence. Good amount of maltiness in the finish. A little graininess as well. Alcohol is well hidden. Solid little sipper. Refreshing on a muggy day.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear deep gold with white head. Nose is typical ipa - nothing too remarkable. Taste is hops the whole way through: starts tangerine, moves to pine resin, and finishes with dank grapefruit. Fairly sweet and heavy. Hoppy to the 9s.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 06/26/2012. Thanks to LtDan the man. Light, cloudy copper pour, thin white head doesnít last long, spotty lacing. Dank, herbal hops, orange citrus, caramel malts heavy, not your typical Cali IPA profile. Smooth citrusy hops, subtle pine edge, almost blending in with caramel backbone, bitterness fighting back in the finish. Medium resinous body, expansive almost like a barley wine. Not the aggressive IIPA offering one might expect, an interesting change-up.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours nice copper color with thin white head. Some decent lacing is there. Aroma is fairly light forms 2ipa. But definitely.nice. Flavor is smooth hopes as if they first wort hopped or mashed with hops. Not bitter but a bit of smooth malt sweetness. Finish is light hops. Not extreme hoppy for the style but pith and drinkable at 9.5%.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber in color with a finger of off-white head. Kind of past its prime, it seems. Sweet caramel and toffee malt with some bready malt. Floral hops and a bit of citrus, but not all that hoppy. A little bit herbal and piney with some floral notes. Sweet toffee and bread, but overall just kind of meh.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Fredís the man! Pours copper with a creamy/foamy/bubbly light beige head. Hop aroma is dank! Itís not harsh. Itís just very heavy duty. Floral and citrus, probably. Full bodied. Itís got a lot of light roast malt. Itís almost suggesting barley wine. But there is a load of citrus, floral and resin hop. Curl around this and take a nap. Succulent. Finishes both dry and sweet. Taste is just wonderful. Makes my salivary glands ache with pleasure.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a amber-honey color with a small off white head which fades to some lacing. aroma is of citrus, some pine, some biscuit malts, and some caramel malts. flavor is similar with a lot of lemon, and caramel a tad bit of booze, and is generally maltier then I thought it would be. Has a medium-full body with slightly creamy mouthfeel and oily, bitter finish. overall, a pretty good DIPA that is a not has hoppy as other great SD DIPAís.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 22-oz. bomber into a pint glass. About two fingers of head. Color was caramel honey toffee. Brownish white lacing with some bubbles on the top. Wet, uneven and sporadic film on the sides.
Smelled lemon citrus hops up front. Also some lime piny notes in there. Sweet floral notes. Fairly malty, but still refreshing on the nose.
Very balanced taste, could hardly taste the alcohol. Lemon citrus hops really came through here. The maltiness seemed to balance the citrus hops out. So smooth.
Medium body. Average carbonation. Slight bitter, but smooth finish. Refreshing feeling.
Really liked this beer as I do with most of the ones from Karl Strauss. Smoot h and very drinkable.
