Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Fred’s the man! Pours copper with a creamy/foamy/bubbly light beige head. Hop aroma is dank! It’s not harsh. It’s just very heavy duty. Floral and citrus, probably. Full bodied. It’s got a lot of light roast malt. It’s almost suggesting barley wine. But there is a load of citrus, floral and resin hop. Curl around this and take a nap. Succulent. Finishes both dry and sweet. Taste is just wonderful. Makes my salivary glands ache with pleasure.

Pours amber in color with a finger of off-white head. Kind of past its prime, it seems. Sweet caramel and toffee malt with some bready malt. Floral hops and a bit of citrus, but not all that hoppy. A little bit herbal and piney with some floral notes. Sweet toffee and bread, but overall just kind of meh.

Bottle: Amberish, pale haze, moderate to large frothy off-white head, nice lacing. Citrus peel, pith, hops, and alcohol on the nose. Similar on the tongue, not too bright, but thankfully the 9.5% really only comes through on the nose. Bitter but not biting, decent malt background, mild citrus sweetness. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Nota big example, but not overly done on either side. Could be a little brighter, but as is its pretty enjoyable. Thanks Ron!

Bottle brought from CA by my neighbor. When it was too cold, it was really unpleasant, but as it warmed the orange/citrus came through better. Hoppy but not over the top and doesn’t rise above the other Imperial IPAs I’ve had lately. Bottle.
