3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a big caramel malt backbone, resinous hops, and some residual sugar. Flavour brings out some notes of yeast, resinous hops, some bready malts, and some dry caramel malts. There are some sweet fruity notes that kick in later. Finishes malty sweet, with a bit of dark fruits. Not the hoppiest IIPA out there by any means - overtaken by the sweeter malt profile on this. Drinkable in smaller amounts - I wouldn’t want a pint of this. Decent.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Huge, yellow-cream head, leaving shards of lace over well-carbonated orange-golden beer. Spicy, "hot" malts, citrussy hops, dry hopbales, demure. Bitter, toasted to roasted flavour, restrained fruitiness, resin. Underneath quite some malty sweetness. Some balance, but no sparkle anywhere. Quite slick to viscous, well-bodied, faint alcoholwarming. K.S. remains a ’bib’ chain, with all its consequences...
