650ml bottle from Saveur-biere.com

Pours orange with a white head. Aroma of pine, malts, resinous hops, grass and citrus. Taste is heavy, malty, piney and grassy with some citrusy and caramely notes. Finish is heavy, malty and piney with some citrus and grass. Doesn’t feel super fresh, but not very old either. Any ways, quite heavy and a bit dull malty double IPA

650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney hoppy aroma, biscuity malty background, hints of mandarine, orange, pineapple, a floral touch. Taste is initially crisp bitter hoppy, giving way for fruity and piney notes, some peach, mango, mandarine, biscuity malt basis; slightly mineral, bitter hoppy and minimally soapy finish, a touch of warming alcohol. Relatively light body for a DIPA, nice fruitiness, no challenge for hopheads.

On tap at the brew outlet on Columbia St, San Diego on 18th March 2014. Tower 10’s big hoppy brother came cloudy like it’s little bro but with an alcohol kick and a sweeter feel within. The off golden body had a foaming head that tried to stay around and give lacing. More hops and more maltiness, I enjoyed it more than the 10, most likely because it had more depth and flavour. It appealed to my sweet tooth also. I’m no expert on DIPA’s but I liked this one.

Intense and bitter, this beer is very hoppy and piney. The finish is more malty than I like, but overall it’s a decent Imperial IPA

Light golden color. Frothy white head. Very heady nose with floral and fruit notes. Full body sticky mouth, resiny, but lacks depth. Alcohol is fairly well. Nice clean IIPA that is enjoyable but nothing too special.

Bottle brought from CA by my neighbor. When it was too cold, it was really unpleasant, but as it warmed the orange/citrus came through better. Hoppy but not over the top and doesn’t rise above the other Imperial IPAs I’ve had lately. Bottle.

From a bottle at the brewpub in RB, shared by BeerandBlues2. Pours clear orange gold with a frothy off-white head. Tastes like moderate hops, bitterness, sweet malt, and hints of fruit. Dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Smells like citrus and pine hops, hop resin, a hint of honey, and biscuit malt.

30-JUL-2015, bottle @Calafell, from BierCab. Slighty hazy golden with lasting, creamy, lacing, yellow head. Sweet, bitter, grape fruit, citrus, flowers. Quite sweet and malty but not really caramelly. Full body. Fantastic.

Nice tanned body with a ring of head. Lovely nectarine, sweet hop aromatic bliss intermingles with grain dust. Like a resplendently delicious wheatwine. The body is replete with juicy hoppiness and tropical fruit. An IPA freshening on the vine, were it too stay on much longer, it would indubitable ripen and age into a pleasant old barleywine. Tasty stuff.
