3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
65 cl bottle.
Pours hazy golden color with a large white head. Hops and tropical fruits on the nose, orange peel, some pine needles and lots of caramel malts. Sweetish orange, mango, some apricot, caramel malts and resinous hops. Full-bodied, bitter fruity palate, lingering sweetish caramel finish. Nice balance and alcohol is well hidden. On a side note, goes well with spicy food.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz Bottle. Honey coloration with a bubbly white head. Decent nose with strong grapefruit, orange and a bit of pine. Taste is brightly hopped with heavy pine and citrus balanced by a fresh cereal flavor and lots of crystal malt. The bitterness is powerful, but not overwhelming and is held in check by the thick malt backbone. Unfortunately this beer is a little too heavy on the palate, with a syrupy texture that makes it feel like a malt bomb. Carbonation is persistent and well done. Finishes with a big hoppy bite and a lingering bitterness. Pretty decent beer, but not worth the price compared to our other San Diego IIPAs.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a amber-honey color with a small off white head which fades to some lacing. aroma is of citrus, some pine, some biscuit malts, and some caramel malts. flavor is similar with a lot of lemon, and caramel a tad bit of booze, and is generally maltier then I thought it would be. Has a medium-full body with slightly creamy mouthfeel and oily, bitter finish. overall, a pretty good DIPA that is a not has hoppy as other great SD DIPA’s.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours nice copper color with thin white head. Some decent lacing is there. Aroma is fairly light forms 2ipa. But definitely.nice. Flavor is smooth hopes as if they first wort hopped or mashed with hops. Not bitter but a bit of smooth malt sweetness. Finish is light hops. Not extreme hoppy for the style but pith and drinkable at 9.5%.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber purchased at Bine & Vine ($7.49). Pours a slightly hazy red / dark amber color with two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma does not exactly jump out but there are notes of pine, honey, and a bit of citrus. Flavor of smooth caramel with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and herbs. The sweetness trumps the bitterness here. The high ABV is quite well hidden here. A very malt-forward and not very complex DIPA, but I still find this highly quaffable. (24, 734)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at brewery. Pours a slightly red with white head. Aroma is nice floral hops, some malts and a touch of citrus. Taste matches the aroma. Floral hops make this flowery but in a good way.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
65 cl bottle @ home, BBE 10/2015?
Aroma is sweet and heavy with pineapple juice and exotic fruits. Also caramel. Flavour has exotic fruits, hops, grapefruit, some gooseberry bush and sweetish caramel malt tones. Quite typical sweet American DIPA. But still rather drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 06/26/2012. Thanks to LtDan the man. Light, cloudy copper pour, thin white head doesn’t last long, spotty lacing. Dank, herbal hops, orange citrus, caramel malts heavy, not your typical Cali IPA profile. Smooth citrusy hops, subtle pine edge, almost blending in with caramel backbone, bitterness fighting back in the finish. Medium resinous body, expansive almost like a barley wine. Not the aggressive IIPA offering one might expect, an interesting change-up.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Casa De Oro. Strongly hopped grapefruit nose, with a toch of pine. Good hop presence. Good amount of maltiness in the finish. A little graininess as well. Alcohol is well hidden. Solid little sipper. Refreshing on a muggy day.
