Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla. Hazy yellow color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Nice estery aroma and flavor typical of the style. Nose was a bit medicinal, but overall this was a good beer.

A very nice suprise, tasted on draft at Strauss Universal city. Much more flavor than I was expecting, nice fruitiness, creamy, nice on the tongue, Good example of an American brewer doing a German style hefe.

On tap @ Pizza Nova.. Hill Crest CA. Poured a nice hazy orange color. Aroma of wheat and yeast, A very fruity finish.

Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla: Hazy orange tinged yellow. Nose of light soapy wheat and light yeast esters. The flavor has a nice body with creamy marshmallow blended with the esters. Finishes light and nice, good. Why is it that these brewpub hefes are a large amoutn better than their other attempts at some styles?

This beer replaced the Extra Special Bitter that was out stock. The beer was cloudy and yellow. There was flavors of fruit like banna with some head. This was too sweet for me and was the lowest of all beers tasted.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2006 Tap - This is a nice pleasant hefeweizen. It’s very drinkable, mild citrus flavor. Sweet and smooth while not really being fantastic in any way.

On Tap: A very average hefe. Thought it was a good example, but kind of weak and sterotypical. Bannanas, wheat, cloves, bubble gum, were the flavors and aromas. I agree that it was drinkable but kind of boring.

Draft. The normal cloudy yellow unfiltered look. Aroma was very nice, strong banana and wheat. The flavor was great with the perfect balance of the sweet and spicyness. This is my favorite wheat beer that I have tried so far at a local brewhouse.

On tap. Not too cloudy and very thin. Mouthfeel was disappointing and the flavor was largely sweet banannas. Some vanilla in the finish. Drinkable, but boring

draft: Gold in color with haze and not much head developed from the pour. Nose was light. Flavor was of moderate amount of wheat and small spicy note of clove. Fairly decent.
