While I cannot comment on this beer’s nose, palate, etc., I DO know that after spending two weeks in Germany and becoming quite fond of the local brauhaus’ weissbier, this tasted JUST LIKE what’ I’d been drinking in Germany when I had it at the restaurant after I’d returned. This beer is neck-and-neck with Paulaner Hefeweizen is terms of quality. It’s THAT good!

12 ounce bottle from KnB. Pours a murky yellow with a small white head. Nose is banana, yeast, clove. Taste is wheat, banana, and a little citrus. Thin mouthfeel. Comparable to many other beers in this class.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a small white head which fades quickly. Aroma is of wheat malts, yeast, banana, some cloves, and some faint bubble gum notes. Taste is similar with yeast, wheat, and banana dominating. has a medium body with a slightly watery moutfheel and a semi dry, refreshing finish. overall, a pretty good, above average hefe.

Yeah the yeast is nice, but maybe a bit over-utilized. The color is a really hazy light gold. Its decent.

Beer #1 in a flight. Cloudy whitish yellow. Very light flavor even for a Hefeweizen. No bubble gum in this one. That’s different. It’s not bad, there’s just not much to it.

Hazy golden coloured body with a thick, dense white head. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, coriander seed, curacao and a very fresh yeast note - a touch of sugars too. Light to Meidum-bodied; Creamy, wheatie flavour with a good dose of light spices that leave the mouth very fresh. Aftertaste shows a little alcohol, a little fruit and a nice pungent yeast note. Overall, a respectable german hef with some nice yeast and wheat flavours, but the cool refreshing spice flavour is definitely still noticeable. I sampled this pint on draught at the LAX Terminal 7 location in Los Angeles, California on 23-June-2010.

On tap at KS in La Jolla. Hazy yellow with minimal white head. Banana, vanilla, some grains. Thin, mild, sweet, well carbonated, dry, bit of vegetable on the finish. Ok.

Draft. Chunky yeast & wheat nose with a touch of clove. Cloudy yellow/orange beer, frothy suds. Simply, clean wheaty yeasty hefe flavors..some clove. Decent and to style, a style I’ve been enjoying more than usual lately.
