Love this beer and love this beach. Wish I could partake in them both at the same time. Wind and Sea is a perfect beer for me when its hot outside and I would typically reach for a lighter beer because I don’t find it to be as filling as other heffs.

On tap at the San Diego downtown brewpub. It poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of fruits, banana and wheat. The taste was of fruit, wheat and banana. Nice.

"Another good hefe from Southern California. Nothing (again) that blows you away, but a nice balance is struck between citrus hops, banana, cloves and wheat. Nice n refreshing."

Wittales (637) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Appearance was cloudy gold with diminishing creamy white fizzy 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are banana, clove, bubblegum, soft grain, and cream. Taste are soft clove, wheat, banana, bubblegum with hints of pear and lemon. Palate was soft fizzy CO2 with light body, then fruity traditional smooth finish. A good American Hefe, summer delight.

Draught at Karl Strauss, Carlsbad. Hazy yellow beer with a decent lasting white head. Citrus and wheat aroma, biscuits, caramel, bubble gum notes, floral, some cream. Banana flavor, caramel, cream, spicy notes, grassy, citrus, pears, some bubble gum. Simple but refreshing.

Appearance: Bright yellow/orange with a terrific tiny bubble head. Smell: I got a lot of banana in the smell. Taste: A delicious sweetness. I get a lot of banana and vanilla notes. Very tasty. Mouthfeel: Extremely smooth. Drinkability: My favorite Hef I’ve ever had. Windansea Wheat is a hidden gem in the Karl Strauss beer line-up.

tap. Hazy golden with small head. Standard American hefeweizen. Light banana, and light flavor profile overall.

Smells a little funky. Pours cloudy straw with a thin white head. Pretty good flavor for a wheat beer.

On tap served into a weizen glass. Initially, I thought I picked up notes of blueberry, peach, and even some yeast on the nose, but after awhile, the standard banana and clove dominant, with a hint of lemon. It pours a hazy pale with a thick, creamy white head that retains well and leaves lots of micro bubble lace. the beer is a blend of medium-light sweetness and a very light bitterness along with a trace amount of sour citrus. The beer is light bodied with a thin, watery texture. It kinda has the feel of a watered down lemonade. It’s very crisp, and clean with a low amount of soft carbonation - very refreshing summer session type beer. In the mouth, it’s mostly a banana and caramel taste that finishes with a faint orange rind and leaves a mild bubblegum aftertaste which doesn’t last long.
