3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Taster at La Jolla location. Pours a heavily clouded golden yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is of banana and clove, with a little yeast. Taste has no bitterness and a muted sweetness. Light body, thin on the palate and standard carbonation for a wheat beer. Overall a fine wheat beer, but nothing special.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: classic wheat, banana, and clove
Palate: tingling attack of carbonation.
Flavor: Like the aroma. Finishes with a touch of bitterness.
Comment: I’ve had a number of German wheat beers lately and this seems fairly authentic. The carbonation is more lively and finish is a bit drier and more bitter than the German ones I’ve had but this is alright. A decent version of a Bavarian wheat beer. Given the light body, it would go well with food.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Islands. Cloudy, nice yellow color.
Served with a lemon slice, wheat was dominated by citrus, but nontheless it was very easy and a great session beer. Nice rich feel, I was suprised at how easy this went down, and down and down...

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beer #1 in a flight. Cloudy whitish yellow. Very light flavor even for a Hefeweizen. No bubble gum in this one. That’s different. It’s not bad, there’s just not much to it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served cold on tap at Universal Studios brewery. Opaque golden color with a small white head that left good lacing. The aroma was clove and bananas, and the taste was equally clove and banana. I was hoping for a bit more banana and a little less clove, but it was a pretty good hefeweizen.

Smells a little funky. Pours cloudy straw with a thin white head. Pretty good flavor for a wheat beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampler on tap at downntown San Diego brewpub. A little yeasty aroma, yeasty flavor, with some tropical fruit notes. Looks and pours like any other hefe. Interesting take on the style.
