Bottle thanks to Snojerk321. Pours a nice golden color with typical white head. Nose is spicy continental hops, bread, yeast. On taste, full of nice biscuity notes and a clean bitterness that is a touch spicy. Could definitely drink a ton of this in the summertime. Good.

(11/2/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in downtown San Diego. Clear golden color. Aroma of malt, light buttery notes and a bit of bread. Sweetish malty flavor with a bit of bread and a bitter hoppy finish with some grassy, slightly spicy, notes. Medium-bodied. A decent Pils.

Tap at Carlsbad. Pours a translucent golden yellow with a small creamy white head that laced. Aroma of sweet malty cereal grains, grassy and citrus notes. Flavor was sweet and malty, sugar coated cheerios and light citrus and grassy notes.

Tap at La Jolla location. Pale golden colour, thin white head. Aroma is quite bready and malty. Crackery and clean smelling. Flavour is quite light and soft. Lean but with a light floral hoppiness. Soft bready finish. Pretty decent... more helles than pilsner though.

On tap at the Karl Strauss Beer Cart located in Disneyland. Poured a medeium golden/yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of some grass, grainy, and a little earthy. Tastes of toasted grains, the same light earthiness, and light caramel. Lively body.

From tap at the brewpub in Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Mild fruity hops aroma. Medium sweet and delicate fruity hops flavoured. Mild bitterness into the far finish. Clean and crisp.

Sample at the Sorrento Valley location. The beer pours clear gold with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and mildly spiced hops. Light-bodied with pale malt and light hops and spice flavors. The finish is bready malt with a light hops aftertaste. Average overall.
