Bready notes on the nose with some noticable Saaz hops. Appearance is a nice golden. Flavor is initial breadiness, slightly sweet, followed by extremely crisp hops. It is easy drinking, as it is a pilsner. It finishes crisp and somwhat dry.

On tap at Karl Strauss. Clear golden yellow with creamy white head. Malty bready aroma and taste, but not much else going on.

Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla: Clear gold color, husky flavor, lightly sweet, no nose. Finish is malty. Decent body for a golden too.

Smells okay. A little ricy. This is okay at best but just seems a little funky and too much like a pale lager to me.

TomDecapolis (4445) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JAN 15, 2009
Tap at Carlsbad. Pours a translucent golden yellow with a small creamy white head that laced. Aroma of sweet malty cereal grains, grassy and citrus notes. Flavor was sweet and malty, sugar coated cheerios and light citrus and grassy notes.

Clear yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was corny and grainy. The flavor was grainy as well with a floral hop middle and finish. Cereal taste at the tail end. Light body.

This is a $8 rating, because the only reason I tried this is because it was at a concert. Clear gold, white head. Grainy malt, light sweet and lightly hoppy. Middle of the road beer, nothing special.

Draft at Disney’s California Adventure; gold with a small white head; nose of grain with a little caramel; Grainy flavor with a small hop finish.

GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2006
Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla. Clear golden color with thin white head. Light noble hop aroma and flavor nicely balanced with a slgithly sweet cereal grain flavor. Crisp and clean, light body. Not a bad beer.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 26, 2006
On tap at the Old Columbia location. Golden yellow with a medium white head. Has a fairly discernable level of hops (18 IBU), but not a burner. Malt content makes this a tasty light lager. Not so pilsner-like to me, but I like it. Way way better than the Endless summer crap they make. This is the refreshing summer beer that you want.
