3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Kurtkeller 015: Coffee-tastic 02 on 07/05/2014. Dark brown pour with a medium beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Roast malt, coffee and slight oak in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, malt and subtle fruit. Barrel aging is barely evident. The finish is roasty with a short coffee aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap. Pours a ruby black red. No head or lacing. Nose is a mix of harsh alcohol and dark fruits. Attack is pleasant but quickly goes off and finishes overly sweet and muddy.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at Mr Hangover’s Nieuwjaarsborrel, thanks to Vaiz. Black pour. Aroma is slightly infected, cocoa, toffee, smoky aroma, light oak. Taste is tart, boozy, infected, definite sour twang. Palate is thin, boozy. Unfortunate.

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ Nieuwjaarsborrel 2014, courtesy of Vaiz. Probably an infected bottle, hence the low score. Pours a pitch black beer with a small off white head. Aroma is rather sour, malty and has some caramel touches. Flavor however, has a lot of infectious sourness going on. Not really worth a full rating, since it’s probably infected. Still, potential is there.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at Nieuwjaarsborrel thanks to Vaiz. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is unfortunately showing infection, with coffee, chocolate, malt and caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet, moderate bitter and a little acid. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
