COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beneath the tides off Mission Beach rests Wreck Alley – a dark and mysterious seascape of forgotten ships. Amidst the rusted wreckage is a marine ecosystem, an artificial reef teeming with life. Our Wreck Alley is as dark as the depths of its namesake, an Imperial Stout of uncharted complexity. Brewed with darkly kilned malts, cocoa nibs, and Ethiopian coffee beans, Wreck Alley boasts rich layers of dark chocolate, toffee, and espresso-like roast. Save a bottle. This one has a stout shelf-life.

A spectacular brew that tastes great - even from a too cold pour. It gets better as it warms up and has a perfect balance of beer, chocolate, and coffee aromas and flavours.

Aroma has strong, dark chocolate notes, mocha and some vegetable & peppery notes typical to mocha beers. Flavour has mocha, vanilla, some peppery tones, dark chocolate and ash. Feels a bit messy, but decent anyway. Also a bit thin for 9,5% IS.

650ml bottle from Saveur-Biere

Bottled? 09:25 0804 - Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, espresso coffee and cocoa beans. Taste is heavy with coffee notes, espresso, mocha and roasty malts. Finish is a bit stuffy with some roastiness, coffee, espresso and mocha, hints of dark chocolate, licorice and cocoa. Quite heavy with coffee notes.

Tiefschwarzes Bier it ordentlicher bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Kafffe, Vanille, leicht holzig. Geschmack stark nach Kaffee und Röstmalz, Espresso, leicht holzig, schokoladig, im Abgang deutlicher Espressogeschmack.

Black colour with a big beige head. Aroma of coffee beans. Flavour of coffee, chocolate, coffee, ash and coffee. Good drinkability. Finally kinda boring or just good without magic tricks..

22 FL OZ ($9.99) a good beer and is pretty complex. has a lot of flavors going on and is extremely drinkable at 9.5% ABV. I’ve had better imperial stouts and $10 for a 22floz is pretty over priced.

Sample at Kurtkeller 015: Coffee-tastic 02 on 07/05/2014. Dark brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium to full body with flavors of roast malt, chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is roasty with a short coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle 22 fl.oz. Pours dark brown in color with an off-white head. Cocoa, dark roasted malts with notes of licorice and coffee as well. Roasted malty in taste with quite much chocolate being present. Coffee and sweeter notes towards the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Appearance: dark brown-black color; opaque with a very durable tan head that leaves attractive lacing. Aroma: appealing mix of coffee and baked dark bread. Flavor: mildly sweet despite a strong coffee presence. High quality coffee component. Feel: medium-full body with soft, light carbonation. A bit syrupy. O: a very tasty coffee stout. Improved with warming. Reommended!
