Beneath the tides off Mission Beach rests Wreck Alley – a dark and mysterious seascape of forgotten ships. Amidst the rusted wreckage is a marine ecosystem, an artificial reef teeming with life. Our Wreck Alley is as dark as the depths of its namesake, an Imperial Stout of uncharted complexity. Brewed with darkly kilned malts, cocoa nibs, and Ethiopian coffee beans, Wreck Alley boasts rich layers of dark chocolate, toffee, and espresso-like roast. Save a bottle. This one has a stout shelf-life.

Bottle @ ZZT XII. Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, lots of coffee, dark chocolate. Taste malts, again coffee, dark chocolate, softly bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice, but not superb.

Cervesa on destaca tant en gust com en aroma la xocolata. Cerveza donde destaca tanto en sabor como en aroma el chocolate.

Bomber: Chouffe glass: Dark brown body. Brown head. Light toast/roast aroma, some dried leaves, malts, caramel... Flavour is malty with bay leaf, toast, bitters, dried leaves and herbs, hints of coffee, chocolate and coffee beans... Aftertaste is bitter, roasty, some coffee... Low carbo, light watery light sharp mouthfeel, medium bodied... More like a Dubbel with some coffee tints. Or Stout ish... Mehh... Not a bad beer but not a good example of an Imperial Stout. Expected more!

Bottle at home. Aroma of liquorice, malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasty notes, hint of vanilla, some dark fruity notes. Flavour is sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Body is medium. Decent Imperial Stout, but not top tier.

I am a stout fanatic and this is a good one. Not quite as rich as described, some chocolate, but not as intense as the label describes. With a good price point at the supermarket it is a value. Again, my pallet is terrible but I appreciate the brews that hit it right.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Pours deep black with a medium cappuccino head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and molasses. Flavour is very sweet with a light bitter end, definitely unbalanced. High body, medium carbonation. So so... I had more expectationon this one.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is quite roasted with coffee and vanilla notes. Chili taste with roasted notes. Some chocolate and coffee. Surprisingly thin palate. Chili burn in the finish with roasted notes.
