Jet black beer with almost no head.
Aroma: burned malts. Not just roasted, burned, ashy notes. Than coffe and cocoa.
Taste: strongly burned coffe, dark cocoa, licorie, ashy notes. Big sweet, medium bitter. Very long aftertaste.
Palate: full body, oily, thick, low carbonation. Not as thick as some best scandinavian RISes.
Overall: very good, very solid Imperial Stout. Would love to try again

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Nr Gent, Belgie. Consumed at Cliff House Campsite, Dunwich, Friday ’Christmas Day’ 25th December 2015 Lots of coffee coming across on the nose, but there is a light sour edge also. Slightly sour in the mouth (unsure if this is intentional) its fruity but lacks depth and complexity, not silky smooth, it’s ok but not what we expect from an Imperial Stout, in fact we couldn’t finish this.
