COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beneath the tides off Mission Beach rests Wreck Alley – a dark and mysterious seascape of forgotten ships. Amidst the rusted wreckage is a marine ecosystem, an artificial reef teeming with life. Our Wreck Alley is as dark as the depths of its namesake, an Imperial Stout of uncharted complexity. Brewed with darkly kilned malts, cocoa nibs, and Ethiopian coffee beans, Wreck Alley boasts rich layers of dark chocolate, toffee, and espresso-like roast. Save a bottle. This one has a stout shelf-life.

22 FL OZ ($9.99) a good beer and is pretty complex. has a lot of flavors going on and is extremely drinkable at 9.5% ABV. I’ve had better imperial stouts and $10 for a 22floz is pretty over priced.

From 22 oz bottle, bought @ De Bierkoning, more than a year ago. Pours a black color, and a beige head with short retention. Aroma’s: sweet, dark malts, mocha, fruit, drop/licorice, chocolate, light roast. Retronasal: roasty, salty drop/licorice, sweet coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, chocolate-y. Medium bodied. Long finish, roasted malts, hardly any bitterness.

Aroma:
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, roasted malts and coffee.

Appearance:
Opaque black beer with a slight beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.

Overall:
Thia beer is intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Should have had way more depth for how sweet it was, but it was still great. Rather dissapointing thst the alcohol is definitely noticeable at the end.

Bottle at beertemple. Black pour. Needed to breathe a little. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor has licorice, mocha coffee, roasted malt and mild chocolate. Solid example of the style.

Bottle 660ml. Pours black with a decent off white head. Lots of coffee coming across on the nose, but there is a light sour edge also. Medium to light bodied with little to no carbonation. Slightly sour in the mouth (unsure if this is intentional) its fruity but lacks depth and complexity, not silky smooth, it’s ok but not what we expect from an Imperial Stout, bad batch? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

660 ml bottle at hoem. Pours hazy dark brown with a tiny light beige greyish head. Aroma is subtle cold coffee, vanilla, and roasted malts. The body perfect: a medium yet sweet start, mellowing and increasingly creamy towards the mid, finishing malty and a bit bitter. This makes it easily drinkable. Taste is lightly dark chocolate, but loads of toasted malts. Very nice stout, not your typical imperial overdose, but well balanced, and that is a very good thing!
