Ładna piana. W zapachu delikatny słód palony. Kolor ciemny brąz jak dla mnie za przejrzysty. W smaku czysta paloność i delikatna ziemistość. Polecam chyba najlepsze chorwackie pivo jakie piłem.

50 cl bottle at Mihael, Cavtat. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a huge tan and creamy head. Aroma is roasted malty, breadish and light liqourice. Light chocolate. Solid bitter and toasted malty finish.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2006 New Review:
Poured a very dark red colour with a big thick, almost creamy tan head that went away at a medium pace leaving no lacing at all. Interesting deep sweet malt and caramel aroma (Papsoe got it right). The taste is rather interesting slightly sourish and metallic, coffee and caramelish malt. Roasty an bitter aftertaste. Yup, this is actually a dunkel, not a porter as someone who added it thought. Not offensive, refreshing even. I’ve had a lot worse beers than this thank you very much. Of course, this isn’t nearly as good as Tomislav or the dark Velebitsko, but it has is own merits. The rating stays the same.

Old review:
Bottled, 0.5l. Dark, dark almost black red, a big brown, but rapidly disappearing head. Unimpressive, but enjoyable taste, with some hardly noticable hints of chocolate. If you can’t find Tomislav, this is ok. If you can choose from both, pick Tomislav. (19.09.2004)

.5l bottle, picked up in Split. Dark brown, gray light foam head. Sticky malt. Pale Tomislav impersonator but still richer than most Balkan dark lagers. Corny rich malt, cola body. Sweet caramel malts. Lighter body, some tobacco and coffee. Nice, wish I had it around here.

Pours a dark brown color, topped with decent tan colored head. Roasty malts, some notes of caramel in the aroma. Later some coffee as well. Taste starts sweet and caramel-like, mildly roasted in the body, with bitterness and coffee notes in the finish. Pretty decent, similar to other dunkels from the area.
