2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Slightly better than most lager-in-green-bottle-from-country-not-particularl beers, but the only real claim to fame that this one has with me is that I now get to add Croatia. Some recognizable hops, a halfways decent malty backbone. Slight skunkiness and not very flavorful. Guess I’d have one or two more if I should find myself in Croatia.

i tried this beer last summer, and though well of it ... it is better than most of the stuff coming out of canada, getting up there with some of the czech and russian pilsners.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. It did have the typical Euro lager aroma, but a better appearance than I expected. I poured the contents out of its brown bottle and into my tall Pilsner Urquell glass. Some large bubbles, but overall the head was slow to diminish. Flavor was unassuming with a slight corn/rice aftertaste. Light enough on the hops to pawn off on a macro drinker. If I was at a disco in Dubrovnik I’d be drinking a Karlovacko.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer was very average with a slightly skuny flavor. Fresh I’m sure it’s quite crisper, but the flavor is not that great in the States. Pale Lager seems to be a fairly tough style to do well.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The bottle that Chaz and I drank from was brown, unlike the one in the picture here.....I think the brown bottle kept the skunk levels fairly low. Aroma was sweet, notes of corn. The flavor was rather bland, but it sort of grew on me as I drank it....sweet malts, subtle hops in the finish, a bit dry.....acceptable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle- Yellow/gold body with little to no head present after about 10 seconds. Aroma is slightly skunky and corny. Taste is apples, and hops with a little too much water in there. Tastes almost like a light cider. Great for a hot summer day I imagine.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
My bottle was brown. Very little head and is a decent gold with few bubbles. I had a hard time gaining any aroma from this. The flavor is equally difficult to discern. Ther eis nothign bad here, just nothing here. Too light.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Standard pils-clone with little in the way of hops or malt (or flavour for that matter). A slight bitterness in the finish but that's all. I'd drink the dark if I were you. (sampled in bottle at station bar, Zapresic)

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2004 A decent beer. Very fruity smell, nice smooth taste. This doesn't seem to be a beer that is best poured into a glass prior to drinking, however, that's that first time I've felt that. A moderately decent selection.
