250ml bottle. Very clear golden coloured body. Fast fading white foam. Sweetcorn smell. Taste is grainy and grassy with a vague bitter aftertaste. Fizzy carbonated and quite diluted (thanks to Eva for bringing a small bottle home from Dubrovnik, 12.07.2007).

Draught Clear, yellow body. Off-white, creamy head. Bit hoppy aroma. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Not bad, but not really badly balanced. Clearly very commercial, but not bad.

Pour clear golden with a fading head. Stale, grassy aroma. The flavor is mainly a sweet doughy character with only a hint of light papery bitterness, if any. A generic mass produced lager.

11.15 oz bottle - Pours clear pale yellow with a medium sized, rapidly fading head. It’s fizzy and has a very light aroma. The flavor is mild and sweet with a touch of dry hops. This brew is a typical thin, bubbly pale lager. There’s a little mild hops bitterness in the finish. Unimpressive.

500 ml bottle. Thick mostly lasting white head with big bubbles. Pale golden body. Pleasant aroma of medium sweet malts and mild hops. Notes of bread and metal. Well prononced hopbitterness in the flavor. Taste is also dry with a fair malt level. Body is light plus. Nice bitterish finish. Quenching.

Bottle -- Very pale yellow with quite active carbonation. Medium sudsy white head with some retention and lacing. Aroma is malty and corn, and pretty typical of European lagers. Medium palate with a hint of creaminess. Maltiness up front in the flavour, which soon gives way to some bitterness. Pretty much forgettable. I had the same bottle as cheapdark -- "Pivo" is written on the cap.

Brown 11.15 oz brown bottle. Unlike the phote, my bottle has a mostly red and some white label with gold trimmings. It does not say pivo on it. At first this brew smells a little yeasty and beery when you pop the lid, but when you pour it, it becomes more sugary and sweet to the olfactory. Almost to the point that it begins to smell like a stronger ale. The appearance is that of a ubiquitous pale yellow American lager. Lots of streaming carbonation within, looks pretty attractive as such. Initial doughy flavor that wants to come on strong but it never gets there. This stuff has way too much common courtesy. No offensive bitterness can be detected, not even the hint of pilsner bitterness. Has a little peppery attributes. Thought there is a lot of carbonation in the brew the fizziness is just below average, a little less than I expected. The bitterness is odd, it comes on like its going to coat the inside of your mouth but it immediately fades to a mild non offensive lager feeling on the palate. Rather enjoyable and laid back. The only thing negative I can find in this brew is an ever so slight industrial metallic alky onslaught with the taking in of each drink. Old German and Schmidt’s is better than this as far as enjoy ability goes. Blandish doughy feeling continues thru the finish.

Time to see what a beer from Croatia is like. Pours pale yellow with an off-white head. The aroma has grainy pale malt, corn, light spice and light cream. Medium / light body with some prickly carbonation. The flavor starts with creamy pale malt and some hop spice. the finish has some graininess and a sharper hop presence. Not bad for a pale lager, but nothing special at all.

Smells a bit worn out. Sweet, sweet corn, flat malt, cheesy hops. I don’t think it was ever a good beer, but this is just awful.
