Canned, 33 cl. Rather average, malty pilsener. Fine head, small bubbles. Light hoppy finish. Not bad, but not outstanding in any way, either.

Bottle (labelled Karlsbräu Lager). Sour malt aroma. Light yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet malt flavor with moderate hops finish. Usually German beers called lagers are pretty poor - however being a German pilsener explains why this one is better than other German lagers/export beers.

Bright yellow color, with an off-white head, pale malt, fresh straw, toasted dough aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp crystal malt accent, with a grainy, toasty character, nutty note, leading towards a sweet malty and faintly hops finish.

Brown bottle, 300 ml, gift from Marc Gratton received February 2, 2006 (a beer receives as a gift always makes that beer tastes a little better!); eye: straw, white head that disappears quickly, a bit of effervescence, some lacing; nose: hops (the plant smell of it) and malt (its grain side) fight over which one will take over, a bit of sweet; mouth: confusion in the mouth at first up to the moment where the malt kicks in, a bit of malt and bitterness in an average length finale, grainy, moderately sweet, lightly bitter, watery feel, good carbonation FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 300 ml, cadeau de Marc Gratton reçu le 2 février 2006 (une bière reçue en cadeau goûte toujours meilleure!); couleur : jaune paille, mousse blanche qui s’affaisse rapidement, un peu d’effervescence, dentelle présente; nez : houblon (plante) et malt (grain) qui se disputent le premier rôle, petite touche sucrée; bouche : confusion en bouche au début, le malt apparaît par la suite, un peu de malt et d’amertume en finale de longueur moyenne, granuleuse, modérément sucré, légèrement amère, texture plutôt aqueuse, bonne carbonatation

Can enjoyed cold in 27 C on Rhodes: Golden coloured. Clear. Fluffy off white head. Is light grassy and hoppy. Has some sweetness and fruity notes. Is quite dry and crisp. Light bitterness in the end. Nice thirstquencher.

I liked its honney flavor, the colour is a little pale but yellow, almost no bubbles but a lot of foam.
