Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 19, 2004 Effervescent gold body with a decent dense head. Average malty and bready aroma with some light hoppy hints. Mouthfeel is a bit disappointing: There’s not enough hops and the finish lacks lenght and bitterness. A way inferior to german macro pils like Bitburger, Warsteiner or Krombacher. nickchalk (229), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 15, 2004 Essentially a boring, bad pilsner. Not enough hops in the nose, biscuit. Flavour doesn’t come off strong enough. Boring. Bottle. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2004 Sweet malt aroma, grainy, corny, with little hops. Light dull yellow clear with thin white lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation, watery. Starts a little sweet, no acidity or bitterness, and a flavor of stale hops and paper. Light malts, grows sweeter toward the finish - light malt liquor flavor. After is dull and grainy. Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2004 Karlsbrau smells and taste like non alcoholic beer but with alcohol. That alone means allot. Thin with weak hint of bready malt. Where is the freshness of good pils? tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 18, 2004 Mild DMS (canned corn) with herbal hops. Clear golden blond with decent white head that lasts nicely. Sweet and fairly malty flavour with balancing bitterness in the finish. Fairly smooth but somewhat thin. Could use more lasting carbonation. Drinkable to be sure but not really very exciting. Bottle. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada May 12, 2004 Blond with a sweet grassy aroma with light german hoppiness. Rather dry yet sweet taste with crisp hops in fisnish and slightly metallic. Boring lager. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 24, 2004 Can Blond color. Sweet corn aroma. Thin mouthfeel, too much bitter. Bad. minguimore (17), Spain Jul 13, 2003 I have taste this beer from a little 5 lts. barrel with a cool tap. It was similar to drink it in a pub. It was great. It is a special kind of beer, it is like a pesener but with a little bit of malt that gives a very nice taste. I guess the other guys that have rated it have tasted it from a bottle... never the same. Don´t think of it as a malty pilsener or a soft ale just enjoy it, in a pub if posible. I love it.
