Drank at S&G big pilsener tasting, blindly comparing 24 pilseners. Taste for most pilseners was the same, some grains, bit hoppy, quite malty and mostly bit metallic. Neutral

Couleur jaune dorée, mousse qui disparait. Nez assez leger malté. gout léger malté, note papier. Petite amertume en fin de bouche. Corps leger. Ca passe encore...

33cl can bb09/15 as "Karlsquell Lager, Bier - Bière, Qualité Premium Pils", Aldi Colmar, of all places, slumming it in RB’s all-encompassing service...and consumed in self-flagelation of not being able to come up with any Monday dinner pairings apart from beer. - So this is what an Aldi beer tastes like in a non-beer nation, brewed by a Belgian third rate contract brewery on its half-ass: literally boiled cardboard, at best those pappy cases the Aldi courgettes had been in, - this I did taste and nothing more. Not a hint of even hop extract, not even any cheap caramel, due to caramel colouring. Benchmark for: Positively atrocious, ex negativo. Poor drain, drainpour.

Can. This is horrible... Sourish aroma, some green apples, a light whiff of hops. Sourish-sweetish taste, almost no bitterness. Really, this would be a classic, trashy pale lager if it was not of such abominably low quality. I haven’t tried many beers that were as bad as this one. I wrote "tried" and not "drunk", since I passed on the most part to my garden. Poor, defenceless garden had to swallow all of it.

Worst thing I ever tried. Not only its a cheap product with watery thin body, its super sweet on a disgusting level. Not even worth the 23cents I gave for them.

33cl can. Smells sweet, biscuit and herbal gingerbread. Sweetness continues in the taste but it is weak. Hard to finish, although it’s a basic pilsner.

4.7% gold colour with a thin head, low in aroma, bitter pils taste, it was ok on a hot day in France.
