DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England May 5, 2008 Murcian import courtesy of big JW. This one wriggled from the carrier bag and bounced across the carpark tarmac, but barely hissed when I pulled the ringpull. Almost pitch with ruby edges and a tan halo. Sweet bready aroma spread thinly with Marmite. Treacley malt extract sweetness, metal, faint burnt toast, watery gravy granule beefiness, too much caramel, a gnaw of cardboard. Overly sweet and typically Iberian take on a dark lager.
