UPDATED: MAY 15, 2012 Thank you Eric for the opportunity to try this rare beer! As I understand, the base for this beer is the Lemonale, aged in white wine barrels. It pours dark yellow with orange hues with a very small white head that gives way quickly to a light ring of bubbles around the rim. At first whiff, I would have called this Temptation had I not known better. The smell is sour lemons, grapefruit and ginger. It has a really great funky quality to it as well. The taste is complex, it starts off sweet and sour and changes up almost immediately to bitter for a short time before a transition to sour on the finish, however the long aftertaste is bitter as well. Very complex. The mouthfeel is crisp, clean. Each sips leaves you wanting the next. I do however thing this will age splendidly and I have to get another bottle to age!
