Thanks Todd! Pale brown poor. Light toasted malt with hints of nutty cocoa. Flavor is clean toasted malt, lightly sweet, with a trail of faint nutty roast. Quite light, but good.

Draught @ Weisses Bräuhaus, Munich. Rated on 27.12.2014. Pours a dark brown colour with a firm creamy head. Aroma of grainy malts, almonds and sweetness. Flavour of strong bready malts, some chocolate, caramel sweetness and grass. Medium bodied. A nice and round dunkel.

500ml bottle provided by djoeye. Clear burgundy coloured body. One finger thick, off-white head. Clingy lacing. Dark malty nose carefully roasted, some leaves to it. Caramel malts upfront to the taste buds together with details of forest, almond, and noble hops. Smooth malty ending. Soft on the swallow. Peasant dunkel (Tromsø 31.07.2015).

On tap in a surprisingly charming bar at Babelsberg S Bahn station. Dark drown with a creamy off white head. Bitter aftertaste. Nice

(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a solid tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and a nutty and doughy touch. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-matured carbonation. Moderately toasted malty taste with caramel and present nutty notes; sweet and rounded mildly bitter hoppy finish with caramel and nuts in the aftertaste. Pleasant. 05.X.13

500ml bottle. Brown pour, quickly dissipating head. Smell is nicely herbal, caramel, breadiness, light fruitiness. Flavor has dark fruits, light tang, chocolatey, dark malts, spice, very tasty brew.

Deep brown with a malty nose and a hint of cocoa. Palate is toffee, a little more cocoa, a toasty almost burnt bitterness, a hint of reoasted pach, and a dry and lightly ashy-bitter finish.

The Good Head, light khaki desert sand. Clear copper body, dark. Fluffy style lacings, like Holy Angels. Sacred spirits of caramel malts, salmon, butter, sweet forgiving liquorice, and seven small candies. Almighty taste of caramel and malts, grains, grass, metal, soft plums, sweet eucharist bread. Slightly dry on palate. Finishes to the heavenly sweet side with bread, caramel, and a little hop. Kyrie Eleison, Amen. [50 cl. br. btl. 5.1%abv. BB21.1.15]

500ml in my hotel room (Berlin) late on 22nd Jan 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with an off-white crown. Aroma was of malts, caramel and toffee on toast. Flavour wise it is malty molasses sweet, yet there is a mild calming depth from an undercurrent of hop bitterness. Nice.
