Bottled, thanks omhper! Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a small creamy white foam. Thin and watery aroma of toasted malts, metal and cardboard. Light-bodied with touches of toasted malts and metal. Short and bland finish, hints of roast and cereals. Not mush to write home about.

May 26, 2008 Bottled, thanks jeverszeuge! Clear nut brown, minimal head. Sweet with clean , quite hard mouthfeel. Lightly roasty, but mostly non-descript. Edhty salty finish. Dull.

Nov 19, 2007 Huge off-white head on a murky dark red body. Extremely fruity esters provide an aroma of cheap bubblegum. Unpleasant, unround flavour of metal and soap. No hops whatsoever and only the slightest touch of malt. Weak finish. Overall rating: Boo!

Aug 28, 2007 the monastery brewery which is in fact none. dark copper colour, non-existing head. thin roasty start with metallic touch. mid is sweeter, metal vanishes. ends very thin.

Jul 5, 2007 Bottle: A bit unclear, deep amber coloured with a rather fluffy, slowly diminishing tanned head; acidic (almost with a touch of brettanomyces.. ?) caramelly nose; sweetish-bitter flavour with a present sourness, light to medium bodied; caramelly-barrique finish. No pleasure, this possibly infected Dunkel (best before 10/07, sampled 07/07) deserves a second chance...
